I have been privileged to foster a lot of dogs and puppies rescued by RAGOM over the past  5 years. Their backgrounds varied widely from strays, unwanted pets, accident victims, injured puppymill puppies, neglected puppymill adults, a breeding female with her litter of eight young puppies and other surrendered puppies..

Each new foster brought its challenges to overcome and the task to help them is not always easy.  But the rewards of helping a dog in need heal from physical and emotional wounds is  a far greater joy than I had ever hoped to feel. And when the time comes to adopt out that foster to a loving home that will help the dog live the life the dog was meant to have, it is bittersweet saying goodbye. Yet knowing that I had a small part in changing not only that dog's life, but the life of the new family too as they take home a new cherished family member is incredibly rewarding.

Goldzilla is RAGOM's annual Fun Fair and Walk for Rescue. Funds raised at this event supports our mission of rescuing and rehoming Golden Retrievers and Golden mixes of all ages.
