It's almmost time for RAGOM's annual fundraiser, Goldzilla. RAGOM has seen an increase in the number of puppies and dogs who have come induring the past year. Many are breeder surrender dogs with many of these being puppies, but there has also been an increase in the number family dogs surrendered for vaious reasons. With the increase numbers coming in, there is also an increase in the amount of medical and surgical issues that need treatment.

Goldzilla is September 10, 2023, a great day for everyone and especially for the pups.
Shiloh was a sweet foster puppy who came into RAGOM from a retiring breeder along with several of his brothers and sisters. Shiloh thrived and grew and had found a wonderful family to adopt him. We had made a trip to meet the family and the home visit was done so adoption was just around the corner. Just before that was to occur, Shiloh became ill. He was taken to the emergency veterinarian where he was admitted with lab values that were consistent with renal and liver failure. The labs got worse the next day and he wasn't making any urine. It was recommended that little Shiloh needed to go to sleep. I held him as he took his last breath. One of the very hardest things I've done while being a foster. The expense of the emergency vet was huge, but RAGOM saw the need to treat little Shiloh until his life was no longer survivable.
