This year, RAGOM's (Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest) biggest event of the year is on September 10th at Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton, MN. This is our biggest fundraising and FUN event of the year. As volunteers for RAGOM for the past 10 years we try to do our best to let people know about this fun event and to let them know that their donations go to a wonderful cause.

This past year we were privileged to foster a beautiful old girl, Kara. Kara came into RAGOM at age 10 after being abandoned by her owner. When we took her in for her Vet check, it was discovered that she had a particularly aggressive form of cancer. Our vet operated on the tumor and got good margins so we were hopeful that she could have some good months ahead of her. She became a "Hospice Dog" and RAGOM committed to the medical care required to keep her happy and healthy. We promised to be her foster family, to spoil her rotten, and to see that she would be able to go to the Rainbow Bridge if and when she no longer could enjoy a good quality of life. 

Thanks to RAGOM, Kara enjoyed six months of living the "Golden Life" and died peacefully in her sleep this past May. We love that RAGOM can make and keep these kind of commitments to our dogs but this takes money. If you are in a position to be able to help us to continue to fund our hospice care we would certainly appreciate a contribution.
